God Never Left Me: From Trauma, Addiction, and Loss to Redemption

Jordan’s earliest memories were shaped by pain. After surviving severe third degree burns as a child at the hands of his mother’s abusive boyfriend, he grew up surrounded by instability, addiction, fear, and the constant expectation that anything good could disappear. Foster care deepened the wounds of rejection, while anger and emotional walls became tools for survival.

As Jordan grew older, alcohol and drugs offered temporary relief from everything he had never learned to face. Fatherhood gave him a glimpse of the man he wanted to become, but addiction continued taking more than he could afford to lose. His relationship with his daughters was broken, his life became increasingly unstable, and desperation eventually led to homelessness, crime, a bank robbery, and a jail cell.

At the end of himself, Jordan cried out to God for another chance. What follows is not an instant transformation or an escape from consequences. It is a journey through Christian recovery, surrender, brotherhood, faith, restored purpose, and mercy he knew he had not earned. From the Calgary Dream Centre to the courtroom, Jordan began discovering that God had been present through every chapter, even when Jordan could not see Him.
